The best position for the location of the kitchen in a flat is the East - South-East direction. In case there is a problem in constructing the kitchen in this side the alternative direction is the West. While the previous location would yield cent percent benefits the latter would lead to 80% benefits. The West - North-West direction is also a viable option with the direction resulting to 70% advantage. To some extent(50%) it is favourable to have the kitchen in the South.
It is important that while cooking a person faces either the East or West. He or she should never face the North or South. A water tank should never be constructed on the top of a kitchen room. If possible avoid using white or yellow colour for the platform. There should be a water tap and sink in the East - North - East direction of the platform.
The ideal place to place the gas is the East - South - East. If there are more than one gas connections, the one that is frequently used in the East -South-East and the other in the South -South - East. The sink and water tap of the cooking platform which is in the West, should be in the West - North - West and place the gas in the middle of the Western side. Never place the gas in the South - West part of the kitchen. There should never be the cooking platform in the middle of any room.
The cooking platform located in the north east room or corner is not only bad but also inauspicious. Economic losses and bankruptcy can arise if the cooking platform is in the North. Similarly health problems, stomach diseases, discontentment are some of its negative impacts. The kitchen room appears like an inn that is open throughout day if the cooking platform is in the West-North West or North - North West.
